Ready-to-flash Marlin firmware and a professional wiring package for putting a BigTreeTech SKR Mini E3 V2 (and TFT35 E3 touchscreen) into an Anet A8 Plus. No VS Code. No PlatformIO. No guesswork. Free.
Pre-built firmware.bin for the exact combo: Anet A8 Plus geometry (300×300 bed, Anet thermistors, Anet endstop logic) on the SKR Mini E3 V2's TMC2209 drivers, with the TFT35 E3 supported in both touch and knob modes. The zip includes the flash guide, a first-power-up safety checklist, and the exact Configuration files it was built from.
An 11-sheet engineering document: every connector pinout on the SKR Mini E3 V2, the Anet endstop rewire, fan architecture, motor and driver reference, TFT35 E3 cabling, a full hookup map with commissioning checklist — and the official BigTreeTech schematic as an appendix. Every pin verified against BTT's official documentation.
These are the exact walls people hit doing this conversion — each one is covered in depth in the wiring package.
Forget Arduino IDE and forget clicking Upload in VS Code. This board flashes itself: put firmware.bin on the microSD card, power on, wait ~30 seconds. The file renaming itself to FIRMWARE.CUR is your proof it worked.
Anet's 3-wire endstop modules meet the SKR's 2-pin ports. Only the two switch wires connect — the middle 5 V wire is for the module's LED and must be insulated. Beep-test the pair, then check with M119 before you ever home.
FAN0 (part cooling) is off until the slicer or M106 commands it. FAN1 only spins while motors are enabled. The hotend heatsink fan gets hardwired to the PSU, always on — that's factory practice on Ender 3s, and skipping it causes heat-creep jams.
Fan headers pass PSU voltage straight through. On a 24 V machine like the A8 Plus, a 12 V fan on those ports burns out. Keep 12 V fans and LED strips on a separate 24→12 V module.
RS232 cable to the TFT port = touchscreen mode (115200 baud). EXP3 ribbon to EXP1 = classic Marlin knob mode. Wire both, hold the knob ~2 seconds to switch. This firmware supports both out of the box.
Free for personal use. Built from official Marlin 2.1.2.8 release source and official BigTreeTech documentation. Questions or a different printer/board combo? [email protected] or find us on the community page.
